I’m applying to a residential high school for juniors and seniors during the beginning of my sophomore year. This school requires an SAT score. My dad said because I need to turn the application in as soon as possible, I should take the SAT late freshman year.
Problem is, I’ll only be in Algebra 2 as a freshman. How should I prepare for the math seeing as it goes up to Pre-Calculus?
How should I prepare for the SAT? I have a little under a year until I’ll be taking it.
The SAT math section doesn’t cover pre-calculus. You would really only need to study circles and a little bit of trig which can be easily done alone. Besides, it sounds like you can take your SAT mid-late sophomore year if you are applying to HS for juniors and seniors.
The application is due sophomore, and the website recommends I submit it as quickly as I can so I was thinking of taking the test in like April or June

Okay, you still do not need to take Precalc to do well on the SAT math.
If you are in a state with common core you will get the majority of math that will be on the SAT by finishing Algebra 2.
You should also brush up a little on statistics, the basics really… nothing crazy
You should take a practice test without guessing to determine what you need to study.
