Taking SAT same day as deadline - Will it Count?

<p>I'm applying early decision for Carnegie Mellon and the deadline is december 1. I am taking the SAT on december 3 again and it would greatly help my chances if I show them my new and improved SAT score (expecting a 150 point increase).</p>

<p>Will they see my new SAT score? SAT scores are usually released 20 days after the test day so around Decemeber 21 or so Carnegie Mellon will receive my score. Will they have looked at my app by then?</p>

<p>My current SAT Score is merely average for carnegie mellon and my ECs are not that great. Which is why i need to apply ED.</p>

<p>An answer would help me a lot! thanks.</p>

<p>Take a look at the CMU website and the ED rules. Some colleges state which test is the last that can be submitted.</p>

<p>On another website for another school they say they would prefer it if you took the SAT in november but it doesn’t say that they also will not look at your scores if you took it in the same month as the application is due.</p>

<p>I looked at their early decision acceptance rate and its actually substantially lower than their RD acceptance rate.</p>
