Wondering what chances are to get into university if my son takes the Calif high school profiency exam in 11th grade and then goes to Comm. college next year instead of senior year in high school. don't want to hurt him with college admissions in the future. He is good student , but due to autism he is doing the comm. college route first. social issues in high school just too much for him.

UPDATE:
My son did take the CHSPE, passed and we let him go to community college to begin early. He has been there now for two years and getting ready to transfer to a 4yr university. it was the best thing we ever did for him. I just want to let anyone know that there are options out there for kids who don’t fit the mold for a traditional high school. There are no wrong answers, just the right ones for our kids.

Congratulations! Thanks for the update!
