Talent $ & General Info-Drake, Iowa, Coe, Millikin, IL Wesleyan, W Ky, Wright, Otterbein, UIC, CCM..

Is there anyone out there who can give us an idea of the max (actual dollar amounts) in talent scholarships that are possible to any of the above schools and other good acting programs? Any insights in general: D is seeking an acting program in a school that will have some screen acting training and a nurturing program but wants a general college campus experience not 100% conservatory. U of IL - Urbana/Champaign tells us no more than $1-2,000 for incoming freshman on merit only but heard a former student say they gave her $5k for talent so it can be confusing. There is no way we can send her to Chapman or a NY school but she would love to end up in CA … she has an aunt there so would it be worth establishing residency for a year first? She was focused on only B.A. programs until recently and we won’t have time to visit out of IL before auditions so she needs to narrow down audition schools in state and at CHI Unifieds. We are hoping she gets a 23+ next weekend on her last ACT (senior year) and GPA should be around 3.4. Her highest ACT score to date is 20.

Thanks to those who contributed to an earlier thread!

CCM doesn’t have a ton talent money to give, generally it ranges from $1,000-$6,000. I know of one special case student who needed the money and got $9000. Great school for Screen Acting. Three grads from this past year’s Senior Class have already booked movie roles. CCM is 95% a conservatory program with only 3 academic classes required throughout the four years of training. However, it is on the UC campus so she will have access to campus life and the resources of the university.

Thank you for the specific, helpful info!
