- If you mean open houses as in tours of campus, Lawrenceville certainly does. Check the admission tab under Lawrenceville's websites for directions to schedule a tour.
- I truly can't give a good answer for this question. As a prep school, Lawrenceville will obviously be more rigorous and challenging than a normal public high school. However, the workload is definitely manageable- It really depends on the student.
- Students can go to NYC on weekends with the permission of their housemasters and parents. Students do not need parental permission to go to Princeton/local malls (but they still need housemaster permission).
- Check out the Lawrenceville admissions tab on the Lawrenceville website. I also don't know what you need to get in- look at other threads on this site for that.
- There are always social events on the weekend. Lights out/wifi shutoff is 11:15 for juniors and sophomores, and there is no lights out for seniors. Friend groups are what you'd expect at a high school.
- I can't really speak about the soccer team, but I was on the track team. Practice is everyday from 3:30-5 or 5:30. Our boys track team has been undefeated in dual meets for the past 5 years, so there is a history of excellence.
@iAmMe77 Thank you so much! I have two more questions, sorry!!
- How does it compare to other boarding schools such as Hotchkiss, Taft, Choate, Andover, etc.?
- And if you are on a varsity team at your present school, would that impact your application?
