Talk to me about the Division of Undergraduate Studies

Part of the problem with a lot of big schools is that students don't really have an advisor that knows them and can guide them. I'm wondering if this is also the case in Penn State's DUS, or if it has something "special" that other large schools may not. They certainly bill themselves as providing guidance and strong advising for the undecided candidate...just wondering if anyone has experiences with this and if so, what are your thoughts?

Thanks!

I posted this previously but D is a junior and has had 7 advisors so far! She switched her major twice and has expressed frustration over the lack of guidance. Having said all that, she is still graduating in four years and managed to get all the classes she needed. She loves PSU and overall it has been a positive experience.
