I’m from a high school thats like 10 minutes away and I can tell you that there’s a huge population of Indians at Michigan. Most of them I would say are Gujarats though, but there’s quite a few Tamils and Delegus (I’m white)

OK, thanks.

Anyone else that would like to add please feel free.

Why are most of them Gujarats?

Gujus ftw!

Haha Gujuss represent!

lets show some love for Athabaskans.

Let’s not forget them amazing Calcuttans!

give it up for sinhalese people!

Oh yeah, hollerrr.

^you’re Tamil?

So, there seems to be a fair amount of Indians at UofM, am I correct?

And should I visit now or after I am admitted? (not assuming anything, I’m just asking if it’s pointless to visit before one is admitted)

Hahaha no, I’m from Calcutta
But I live in the US.

And um, if you want to, really. Are personal fit and social life at the campus of great importance to you? Or do you just love UoM unconditionally?

I really just love UofM aha. Like, I’m a sports person, I want a good education, I’m not into prestige (like HYP) but I want some prestige from my school, I want opportunities for research, etc. and UMich also is in an awesome location. So, yea, know I love it, so I don’t know if a pre-visit is necessary before admission results (hopefully I get in!).

You, most likely, will! If it’s not too much of a commute for you, then you might want to. If it is, just wait.

UoM is great.
