hey.....was just wondering as to how many indians are planning to attend ucla this fall season.......i've been admitted for ms in ee.....wud be gr8 to noe some pple b4 reachin ucla.....

There are a million Indians at UCLA... I have two Indian roommates. You will all know each other and have nice Indian parties. They also happen to be EE majors as well. Don't worry about finding any on this campus.

yeah its not hard to find indians in top universities. so dont worry about it. and i am one too. so yeah here you go. you one indian now.

didnt mean to sound arrogant or something "with indians in top universiies thingy" in the last message just came out like that, please don't take it in negative way anybody.

Thanks

hey kevin...........think b4 u say anythin........don't give ur crap on these forums ok.......better mind ur thoughts nd opinions.....

By my estimates, there are about 3,000 Indians at UCLA.

yeah brah it dont take long to report that lil comment of yours offensive, but we are tolerant like that, so yeah jus keep it to yourself.

y does he have to mind his thoughts & opinions? do indians have no freedom of thought and opinion?

hey jinFX..............atleast frame ur thing properly.........first think wat you wanna post........be clear enuf.....nd people like you are useless for good forums like these.......so just go and study instead of wasting ur time on making such offensive posts........

uhh. yeah. I don't think Kevin really meant anything by that comment kids (in my mind.. ew is not even a derrogatory term. I say "ew, my sister's here" all the time). And jin, paragbm's response was directed to kevin, not to the other indian (or to an entire ethnic group for that matter). Its funny how people jump to conclusions these days. btw, i'm indian

I'm indian myself, and the only thing I have a problem with in this thread is paragbm's grammar. The whole aim spelling thing can get a little annoying. It is not that difficult to just spell the word correctly and it is certainly shorter than......................................................................................that

oh boy ur ego's gonna get shot at LA

Well, paragbm is the first graduate student I've ever met who types the way he does.

hey guys....just that i'm used to typing messages that way....here in india, there's a lot of cell messaging...so people use short cuts.....ne ways sorry to those whom it's been annoying.....btw.......lets cut this indian - american thing people.....it's good if people live in peace man.....after all everyone just wants some degree and a good exposure........american schools are renounded for their education and thaths way people come there.....hope you'll understand that.......chill guys.......

yea.......i........know........what.......you.......mean........chill isn't "in" anymore it's chillax please :)

Hey man,

Sorry I was a little rude earlier, I guess I was just taking out my anger at the fact that I didnt get into UCLA. I know how difficult it will be for you to make your transition from India to UCLA (my cousins went through the same thing). But hey, just a couple words of advice:

1) don't focus on just the Indian students at UCLA, you will find that it is a very diverse campus and you should diversify your friend circle.

2) typing that way can form a habit, just be sure that your papers and important documents are written with perfect grammar. Im sure your writing skills are well developed as you have gained admission to UCLA, but I was just speaking from experience. A few years ago I used to type in that AIM lingo as well and found that when it came time to write seriously, my writing skills were severely diminished.

Alright well good luck in your endeavors, hopefully I will be where you are in a couple of years.

Indian people are funny. That came out so racist.Oh well :). I wish there was thread like that for hispanics. So, I'm going to make one.
