Tap Water

Do you drink tap water?
Do you even drink water?

I personally think it's kind of gross. I only brush me teeth and shower with it obviously. I don't even drink a lot of water when I do I just use my huge bottled water thingy, I forgot what its called. Or I just bring bottled water to go. I should probably invest in one of those brita water filters and a reusable water bottle eventually though.

No, I don’t drink tap water. I don’t think I would drink the water even if I got a filter for it, just because of the fact that it’s the same water we use to shower, flush our toilets, and wash our dishes with… yea, it’s from the same pipeline alright. I drink water… a lot, but I buy them at like 3 dollars for 24 bottles… pretty good price if you ask me. I drink sodas occasionally, but water is my best friend.

I have a 5 gallon Kepwel water cooler at home (the jugs are replaced when they’re empty), so I fill my water bottle with that instead. I also have a water filter on my faucet (I use filtered tap water for cooking), which I’ll use as long as the water is cold.

There’s a noticeable difference in taste, though.

I drink tap water. It’s fine. I haven’t died yet. I might occasionally drink from a reusable water bottle and filtered water, but I cannot drink bottled water. It tastes like plastic…

I have a filter on my tap water and it is still gross. I get water that comes out of the refrigerator.

^
Isn’t refrigerator water just filtered tap water? lol

How is tap water gross? I think this is all just psychosomatic…

I mean, if you lived in Pakistan or something, sure, I could accept that. But we live in America! We have some of the cleanest water in the world!

I always drink tap water. If we lived in Mexico, then obviously I’d only drink bottle water, but we do live in America, where the water is relatively clean.

Personally, I find tap water to be equal in preference in comparison to bottle water. Several bottle water companies add salt, which just makes you even more dehydrated.

Apparently it’s supposed to be better for you than bottled water. Bottled water is GROSS.

I have a tap water filter, but when I forget to refill it I just drink straight from the tap.

I basically don’t drink water. If I’m at ballet or something and I need a bottle in class, I just fill up a bottle from the fountain. All water tastes the same when it’s cold.

Except Fiji water. That stuff is delicious.

Oh, and Metromint water. But that’s flavored.

I don’t drink water.

I drink the misery of the souls I torment.

Fiji water tastes like any other water. Your brain is just telling you that it tastes better because it’s more expensive.

I drink water from the fridge, so I guess I drink filtered tap water

I only drink tap water by refilling some random empty bottle in my room when i’m too lazy to get a bottle of water from downstairs

I’ll drink ice cold tap water. I don’t like room temperature.

I’m also picky about bottled water. Dasani tastes great, Aquafina is disgusting. Deer Park is tolerable; Poland Springs is tolerable, Evian is gross.

You guys know that the difference in taste is entirely a placebo effect, that in many cases tap water is actually cleaner than bottled water, that most bottled water comes from the same sources as tap, right?

Spending money on bottled water is basically flushing money down the drain.

Edit: For examble, Plattsburgh, Dasani, Aquafina, Poland and Evian all come from tap water sources. Not sure about Deer Park (actually Evian may not, have to check on that)

The irrationality of people that refuse to drink tap water is hilarious.

LOL, yeah. Except that the pipeline splits off before the water reaches its destination. The water doesn’t cycle from the shower to the toilet to the kitchen. Clean water is still clean, no matter its potential uses.

What’s that, 13 cents per bottle? Not bad. Now some will point out that the quantity of water in the entire case is worth a fraction of a cent, but they don’t realize the true of value of all the plastic you’re using up.

It takes 1,000 years to break down a plastic bottle.

^^ (not you, warts)
I didn’t say that the dirty water runs from location to another, did I? It’s just having the mentality to think that they would use tap water to flush down your wastes/urine and asking yourself to drink the same water they would use for the toilet is a disturbance in itself. Yes, clean water is still clean water, but its potential use for various reasons is what disturbs people.

Yea, 24 bottles for 3 dollars is not bad at all. I’ve even seen the prices go as low as 2 bucks for that many bottles.

And this whole thing is psychological. Like someone in the thread stating that they just can’t drink tap water even when it’s filtered, but they drink water from the fridge. That’s the same thing as tap water being filtered.

And how do people differentiate water? By price? The higher the price, the better? All plastic bottle water tastes the same to me. Of course that excludes the ones that are flavored.

I have quite the solution. We build houses for the homeless out of the plastic bottles. Who wouldn’t want to live in a plastic bottle house?
And it would last for 999 years. Great investment.

Lol, well plastic can be bent and cut into so that might not work for storms and other natural disasters. It would be nice if we could use up something like that to avoid wasting other resources though.
