The way I see it is that it’s a waste of time to debate the likelihood of acceptance at reaches. Everyone on CC seems to agree that, for top schools, the admissions outcomes are highly, highly unpredictable. The OP has acknowledged that places like Duke are reaches, and has asked for less selective suggestions.
Congrats on your many impressive accomplishments, O.P. If @happy1 is correct that you prefer urban schools, I think that D.C. is a great city, and I have a friend who loved her experience at George Washington. If you don’t mind a more secluded environment, I personally really like the University of Richmond. They guarantee funding for undergraduates who wish to pursue a career opportunity (like an unpaid internship) that might be difficult otherwise.
There might be ~100 plausible “match” colleges for someone with the OP’s stats. So, it’s important to define more preferences besides “mid-sized” + psychology or economics. Campus visits can help.
