<p>For the essay about picking a passage from a book and analyzing it:
Is this essay basically a critical lens essay?
How formal must it be?
Should formal academic tone be followed or can we actually refer to ourselves?
We're supposed to support our arguments with specific evidence, right?
Is writing this essay like writing a (longer) college essay?</p>
