I am applying to the Telluride Association Summer Program and one of the essays asks about a piece of text (book, song lyrics, etc.) that changed your views on an issue. I can’t really think of anything except this one song that made me appreciate the LGBT community. I want to write about that song but I’m afraid that the admissions officer reading my essay may have differing views on gay people, and that it could negatively affect my application. Am I overthinking this?
Yes, sounds like an authentic, strong idea to me.
I hope both you and my kid get in to the same session, that’s what he’s writing about too.
If we write about a book, should we give a little synopsis?
For the short answer question, listing your favoirite books and media, should you simply list them? How should I do this portion?
