Well, not much to say between apps and first selection. I hear the recent NYC app reading session went pretty smoothly, though bungled a bit by the massive blizzard. meh

Anyway, do tell us if you get a notification for interviews; I don't even remember how I was notified.

Globber, would you say the applicant pool this year for TASP will be more/just as/less competitive than years of the past??? Also, I am curious to know whether you or any other previous TASPer who was at the NYC grading session is aware of how many applications were submitted in total to TASP 2006?

Erm, I didn't actually go there, it was more of a "through the grapevine" thing. Unless you wrote about becoming a neonatal endocrinologist, you weren't recognized.

well, there are thousands of posts on this thread...so i thought i'd ask a question.

is ANYONE as nervous as i am?

this sounds so lame but i worked so hard on my app, im gonna feel really down if i dont get granted an interview. i know its crazy competitive....but....i really wanna go!

yes, i am whining. yes, i know its not the end of the world if i dont get in. yes, i know there are tons of people more qualified than me.

but i dont care right now.

someone sympathize with me(please?) before my mind explodes.

Oh, I can definitely sympathize. I want TASP more than I want college right now. And yes, I would give up my first-choice college to get into TASP.. too bad that it's not a bargain I can make. Now that my essays have been submitted, all I can do is sit back and hope for an interview...

Do they even take PSAT into consideration? Since they didn't ask us to attach a score report, would they ignore the PSAT score or look it up themselves?
