Yeah, it really does. It seems like everything takes place that week, too. Isn't it odd how events clump together? (And irritating?)

i second (third?) the cruel and unusual punishment thing. The first week of May I have two APs and the SATs. I think I'd rather wait until that's all over to have my TASP decision, but at the same time I know if I decide not to look at it, I'll be way too curious to concentrate on anything else! lol

lol I completely agree with all of you!! I mean, I think I'd want to find out if I got in to TASP as soon as possible, but there's just gonna be so much going on in the first week of May!

My interviewers actually said that decisions would be made around the week of the 12th (of April, actually) and that I could expect my decision in the mail by the 20th. They also said to call if I hadn't gotten it by the 20th. They may just have been totally excluded from the actual decision process, but at least one of the 2 interviewers had been on the admission decision board/group. Let us know if you get your decision soon...

really?!? thatd be awesome ( if i got in, that is) . i dunno, my ppl said may 2ndish but maybe urs were in the Loop or something...

Wow. April 12th is today! Eek. My interviewers didn't say anything about when we'd find out and I was too relieved that the interview was over to ask. heh. I guess we won't know until we open our mailboxes (or unless someone has the courage to call the person in charge of the program).

Someone call and confirm.

I'm too scared.

its 9 in NY anyway

Hey Crom, dude you got into RSI too!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Which one would you choose if you got into both, RSI or TASP???

P.S.: Be cool and pick TASP.;)

Also guys, what do you guys think are some good government/foreign policy/business summer programs to consider in the event that I don't get into TASP???

Oh god-- that's scary, isn't it (about the decisions possibly being made now).

okay, i say we draw straws and one of us calls the Cornell Telluride branch 2morrow . (recognizing that drawing straws is not really an option, i nominate someone other than myself to do so...)

but in all seriousness, i checked the website and it says notification BY early may. oh, the flexibility of that little word.

Is anyone on vacation right now and could call during what would be business hours? (This is both a practical and slightly self-serving question-- personally, I'm not, and I won't be home until rather late tomorrow.)

I just realized something, too, chariot-- last time, "by mid March"? About two weeks early. Does that mean "by early May" is really roughly now, or am I just nervous and reading far too much into this all?

Last year on May 3rd, I got this e-mail:

Dear applicant,

I am delighted to notify you that you have been selected as a participant in the 2005 Telluride Summer Program, Music of the Everyday: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on Popular Music in the U.S., 1880-Present, at the University of Michigan. The program at the University of Michigan will be held from June 26 to August 6, 2005. Well over 850 highly qualified students from around the world applied for scholarships this year. Congratulations on your success!

Look out for one coming to a town near you!

/Oh, I'm such a tease

Wasn't there someone from CC who helped read apps in NY this year? (or was that Globber?) Perhaps they would know..?

I just emailed my interviewer and she replied that to the best of ther knowledge, decisions will be mailed out the first week of May.

Oh my god...it's scary to think they may have already decided who's in and who's not. I certainly hope we hear this month. It would also give me more time to put a backup plan into action if I don't get in:)

Yeah, I definitely agree because I'm too lazy to fill out another summer program application if I don't have to.;)

hey are any of you going to the junior humanities and science symposium at New Mexico next week?

Yeah, I'll be there. What's the "humanities" part of the symposium?

Ya Soshla S Uma!!!!
