you know some guy that's named vegangirl?? That's weird.

^So, is that a really bad attempt at sarcasm or just plain bad reasoning skills on your part Peter???;)

LOL, bravos!

bravos, lol :)

17 really is kind of a boring age. I'm just hoping for a late birthday present in the form of a TASP acceptance. that'd be nice.

Hah, yes, wouldn't it!

Happy birthday... :)

What schools do you go to for TASP? are there several around the country? do you think my high school would be able to get me more info about this program?

This year, TASPs are being held at Cornell, Ann Arbor, UT Austin, and Washington University in St. Louis-- I think this varies every so often, though. And while I don't know your school and thus don't know if it would be knowledgable about the program (mine, for example, has never heard of TASP, ever, in any shape or form), it's worth inquiring about. If that gets you no where-- indeed, even if it gets you somewhere-- do some reading about it yourself, if you're interested. A lot of the information you might want can be found at tellurideassociation.org.

Before I applied for TASP, I had already sent in a deposit for another program. Cancellation fees increase at the end of each month, so I called TASP today to find out when the decisions would be available. The lady told me that the committee was meeting throughout the last weekend of April. She guessed that the earliest you could call for your decision was Monday morning (May 1st). Based on comments from former TASPers, I think they will send out an email on Tuesday the 2nd to those who are accepted.

I'm not sure if yall already knew this or not, but I'd thought I post it.

What program did you apply to out of curiosity Serendipity4???:)

Abbey Road Overseas Program (Western Civilization). It's not selective at all, but it sounds like fun. It follows the origins of Western thought through Athens, Rome, Florence, and Paris (a week in each city).
I would much rather go to TASP, of course though. :-)

I think he meant, which TASP did you apply to.

Oh, oops. My first choice was Michigan.

Thanks for the info, Serendipity.

Yes, thank you! How nerve-wracking however, yeah?

Everyone went away for spring break. This thread looks so deserted..............since no one is here i'll claim this TASP thread as mine once and for all........muahahahahahhhh

Tasp Tasp Tasp Tasp Tasp

To echo the past.... gasp?

Great thread! After reading this for the past hour I am definately hyped about TASP, sounds like a great program. I'm definately applying next year. :D

Good luck everyone! Its already the 24th, shouldn't many have gotten their acceptance letters already?

No, acceptances come out on the 2nd.

ah man, so soon, so absurdly soon.
and also, so right before the AP calc exam. i sense that whatever the decision is, yes or no, it'll throw off my concentration on that test. or at least that's the excuse i'm going to use when i fail it:)
