Hey Everybody!

Today my school nominated me for Telluride's Sophmore Seminars. When my councler first presented the nomination to me he was very laid back, playing it like it wasn't a very big deal. He went through the whole packet and gave his 2 cents about the program and then sent me back to class. The only thing he capitalized on was the fact that I was the first and only one to recieve a nomination to TASS from my school ever. (My school is a very wealthy upper class top tier public highschool in California and only .06% African-American.) Not until looking it up later on did I realize that Telluride is a pretty big deal (correct me if I am wrong), and I had a few questions.

a)Is just being nominated a big deal in its self?
b)How many people apply to TASS?
c)Has anyone participated in TASS (or TASP for that matter,) and could you tell me a little bit more about the program?

Thanks a lot for your responses! -Corey
