<p>Does the College ask for Tax information even if you have not been accepted to the school. That doesn't make sense for them to waste time and money processing Financial Aid awards to those who have not even been accepted.</p>

<p>Many but not all colleges request tax documents for all applicants for financial aid and require that the documents be sent before admission notification dates. It’s a hassle, but the schools want to be able to provide FA awards along with admission decisions.</p>
<p>Yes; we were required to send our tax returns to school A, even though final admission decisions won’t be released until mid-March. I actually think it’s a good thing, as it will speed up the decision-making for our S. We will know immediately if we can afford it or not.</p>
