taxi from detroit to ann arbor

I've got orientation in two days, and I'll be flying into detroit... does anyone know how much a taxi ride from the airport to ann arbor will cost me? Also, if anyone else is flying into detroit tomorrow night, PM me and maybe we can arrange something to split the costs. Thanks!!

About 55 to 60. It's a good idea to get on with someone else. I did that on the way back after orientation. Wait, isn't orientation over?

you can get a shuttle for about $25 one way. when i took it, my friend and i were the only ones in it, too.

Please select the following link for information on the SelectRide [http://www.selectride.com][/url] (a non-U-M affiliated company) that offers ground transportation to and from the Detroit airports.

Listed below are other companies that offer ground transportation to and from the Detroit airports.

Metro Connection: Call Sam (888) 706-8080 or Raj (734) 347-4007

Ken's Airport Shuttle Service: (734) 941-7777 Will pick up and drop off anywhere on campus.

Ann Arbor Metro: (734) 507-9220

Remember to allow about 45 minutes driving time, and that airlines suggest arriving at least two hours before your flight!

I used www.customtransit.com really reliable and cheap if you go with more than one person. I think it's 50 for a roundtrip...tell them you drop you off at the dorm.

Thanks everyone... i'm actually getting dropped off at a hotel on the opposite end of town since for transfers it's not an overnight in the dorms... i'm definately going to do the shuttle if I don't meet anyone at the airport.

How are you getting to orientation on campus from the hotel? Seriously, I could pick you up on my way in to work. I work just off campus. It would give me an excuse to clean out my car.

remember that a lot of the shuttle companies request you make reservations some amount of time in advance (24 hrs most commonly, though there may be leniency). also, it seems that rates get cheaper with more people..although that may only work if you reserve as a group. either way, it's way cheaper than a taxi.
