None in my household is a Swiftie (but we aren’t haters either). My nephew and his GF are Swifties and he wears a cute TS tshirt.
I’m impressed at Taylor’s ability to captain her career and remake her albums and reclaim her songs that were denied her. I’m not personally all that fond of her voice but obviously she’s able to tap into a deep well and reach a massive worldwide audience.
She’s very attractive and has a wholesome appearance. I am glad she is successful abd hope she is happy.
I know someone who couldn’t get tickets this summer, so they booked a trip to Stockholm to see her next summer. Sounds like many tickets in Europe still available. Makes for a fun week - go to Europe and see TS!
Great news about film of Taylor’s tour coming to theaters on October 13th. Although crowds will be crazy, so might be awhile until I end up seeing it. I’ll probably wait a bit.
I’ve seen Bon Jovi, U2 and Coldplay concerts at the movie theater and enjoyed all of them but there’s nothing quite like the atmosphere of being there for a live show.
I’m going back on my initial thought to wait a bit after seeing a couple of you deciding to get tickets opening weekend. Got tickets for Sunday 1130am . IMAX. And we are visiting my sister that weekend and we got her a ticket too. Excited!
I didn’t mean I don’t ever go to live concerts. I don’t disagree with what you are saying at all about the distinction of watching a live performance. I just wouldn’t go through all the rigamarole that was necessary to see TS. I am old and like the easy button. I have limited knowledge of her music. I don’t dislike her - I’m just not a Swiftie. Being able to see a movie will allow me to get a small taste of what all the hype has been about.
D and I saw her in Philly for Mother’s Day and “it was the best day”! I am not at all embarrassed to admit I have 2 tickets for the movie opening night. I’ve watched Miss Americana and the Reputation tour on Netflix multiple times. She is amazing and puts on an incredible show - and I say that as a lifelong Springsteen fan.
Oh I totally understand. I live in AR and have a tix for her New Orleans show next year an 8 hour drive. I’m almost retirement age and hate driving so if this movie satisfies my curiosity I might not go to the actual concert. I bought the movie tix for IMAX and my concert tix was inexpensive bought at face value.
This is coming from a casual TS fan but I am very impressed with her charity and work ethic.
I do love concerts though and this week am flying to vegas to see Lady GaGa and Adele.
