TCNJ Admissions

I have applied to TCNJ and am currently awaiting a decision. I just received the "self-service" letter in the mail about a week ago anm am wondering how long the gap is between receiving the letter and a decision. also, is it difficult to change majors/shools once you are admitted?

Generally speaking it is not difficult to change majors/schools, though it depends on the major that you are switching from and the major that you intend to follow. For example, the education, engineering and nursing programs have very strict program planners where you have to take certain classes before you take the next level and those courses aren't necesarily offered every semester. If you wanted to switch into one of these programs after a year or so, you would most likely have to spend 5 years here to do so.

However, if you're talking about switching from like history to political science, or mathematics to general business then it's no problem at all. Most of the majors have a lot of flexibility in them. If you're not positive what major you want, my advice for your first year is to take lots of gen ed courses, because then you will have more flexibility.
