LongeyeMom, Do you know when your son applied? Thanks & Congrats!

BGM99,

He applied RD in Early Nov. Unless he gets some $$, he will probably not end up at TCNJ.
WE visited last summer and liked it, but he has been accepted to several suny schools( we are from NY) and has been offered scholarships to some private schools that would actually make them more affordable than TCNJ. Out of state cost is pretty high.

I received my acceptance letter a few days ago as a biology major with my scholarship amount included. My application was sent in early december, so I wouldn't worry! It doesn't seem like they're going in any sort of order, because I know a few of my friends from school haven't heard back either (who applied earlier than I did). Good luck everyone and I'm sure you'll hear back soon :)

Well, my wait is over, but the news wasn't good. I guess I'll have to be the first to post -REJECTED! It was my first choice. I'll have to look over the 4 acceptance packages I've received and decide which one will become my new first choice. Oh, well! Best wishes to the rest of you.

Whooo got in for nursing and I'm going :)! Thrilled out of my mind!

did people hear about money in their letters?

The scholarship amount came with the letter of acceptance. I thought it said $4K per year, but when I looked more carefully, it said $4K total over 4 years!

Yea mine said $12,000

Did your admissions status ever show on the website or was it strictly a letter? THNX

I think they update the website then send out the letter soon after. I never checked online; I just got the letter in the mail last Thursday. FYI, my application was completed 10/10.

I am SOOO excited for this school! :D Good luck everybody!

Oh and I called and spoke to an admissions counselor who said they notify you of any scholarship money in your admissions letter.

hey i didnt get into tcnj and to be honest it was a real shock i have b averages and i take all honors and ap course and i got a 1320 on my sats. is anyone else in this situation or have a possible explanation?

Sorry, I know how it feels. It could be your class rank, they like top 10%. I know I fell below that. What major were you interested in? Some are much harder to get into than others. I applied to the school of science - math major - and I was rejected too. The good news is that I was accepted to the seven other schools I applied to. The bad news is that TCNJ was the only school I really wanted to go to. So now I really have to look at the other schools, and decide which one will be my new top choice. Good luck with the other schools you applied to.

would have been better to take easier classes and get better grades. Freshman year I only had 1 honors course, this year is my first year with any AP. It makes so much more sense to take easier classes and get better grades. I'd rather get an A is "academic" than a B in honors or C is AP. Taking the harder classes only helps if your GPA is high too.

i got in and i'm not in the top 10%.
i have pretty good stats.
3.7 GPA, 2010 SATS

but i didnt get any money.
