Rutgers may have a lower rank than Penn State, but Rutgers proximity to wall st/NY gave it an edge for recruiting. I would go with either Rutgers or Penn State over tcnj.

I agree with fall2016parent you can’t beat Rutgers in terms of location. In order to succeed in business, you are going to need internships and work experience on your resume. It is going to be much harder to find those in State College, PA than it will be in New Brunswick (or Newark), located just a train ride away from Philadelphia and NYC. Nearly all of my friends have worked/interned at the city during our time here at Rutgers. New Jersey is home to 40 Fortune 500 company headquarters as well as more than 1,100 multinational firms. We also hold 12 job fairs each year (more than any other university) and attract hundreds of recruiters from New York, New Jersey, and surrounding areas. In terms of your college experience, Penn State and Rutgers would be comparable, but in terms of your job prospects, Rutgers is your best bet. TCNJ is small, which means they don’t have the resources or name recognition of schools like Rutgers and Penn State. The deadline is rapidly approaching (tomorrow)…hope you chose Rutgers!

The following companies actively provide financial internships to TCNJ business students:

1) Merrill Lynch
2) Bloomberg Financial Services
3) Morgan Stanley
4) American Express Financial Advisors
5) Goldman Sachs

73 - Rutgers

84 - TCNJ

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. Choose the school you feel is the best fit for you overall. Penn State and Rutgers are both huge, while TCNJ is much smaller.
