I was wondering how much of a workload freshmen year is for most people? How many hours a day do you study your freshmen year?

It depends on your major. There were days when I studied 24/7 (I’m a bio major), though this was more typical only around exam time. I still had free time to do stuff but compared to my roommates (who are psych majors), they had a heck of a lot more free time than me.

In some cases, while your major may not require a lot of studying it could require a lot of writing instead, so think about that too.

definitelyyy depends with your major like hazeleyes said, i know people like me and my roommates who never really studied and i know people the studied all the time everyday and still struggled. whats your major?

I’m a journalism/professional writing major, so most of my time (since freshman year) is spent writing papers and stuff. I have two papers due this week for instance. Other majors don’t have a lot of papers but they have more tests and therefore spend their time studying. What I’m trying to say is that it all depends on your major. I’m also doing an internship now and am going a bit insane with all the work I have to do, but then again I’m also really involved in campus activities and hold a part-time job.
