For my recommendations, is it okay to have my counselor rec be offline (mail), one of my teacher recs offline, but have the other teacher rec online? The common app says to not mix and match online and offline, but it's up to the counselor and teachers, ao there's nothing I can do about it. Do colleges look down on this?

One more thing, one of my teachers (who is doing the rec offline) only gave me the letter of recommendation in envelopes (not including the common app evaluation form they had to fill out too!) so on the first day back after break, I have to go talk to them and I know they will fill it out as soon as possible. But, this will be on January 5... and the apps are due Jan 1! Is it really okay if the teacher rec is late? Once the teacher fills out the common app evaluation form, can they just make copies of it and include it with the letters of rec? Are photocopies acceptable for the evaluation form?

I can't exactly quote it, but I recall that when I first signed up for the commonapp, it was in the instructions that you shouldn't mix and match. I guess a lot of students do anyways, so I don't think it will be too big of a problem.

Is it okay if one of the teacher recs comes after the deadline though?
Thanks!

It's okay if the teacher rec is slightly late...just make sure to do it as soon as you get back.

And as for the mix and match, you should contact each school. Which ones are you applying for? I'm applying to Cornell, BC, Northeastern, and U of Chicago and they all said it was okay to mix and match. Just, make sure that you're name and date of birth is on the forms that are being sent by mail (hardcopy) so it's easier for them to identify you (you can include your Common App ID # as well). But, don't worry. Most schools are okay with the mix and match.
