<p>Which rec tends to be more important. Im thinking its teacher rec since they actually talk about who you are, and counselor rec mainly just talks about things in general, your secondary school record, and basic things like that?</p>

<p>You're right, bit not about the reasons. They are both supposed to talk about who u are, it's just that the counsellor most likely knows you less personally</p>
<p>Doesn't matter really. You need both to be excellent. A teacher can give personal, instructor insight into an applicant. A counselor can give insight into the student by putting him/her in the schoolwide context.</p>
