I will be soon applying to college. I decided not to waive my right to see the recs I got. One of the recs contained a lot of phrases like "best student i've ever taught", "creative mind", and even "genius".
Is it normal for the recs to be this way, or they should be more professional?
Such phrases seem to be red flags and extra butter.

help out guys please!

No, they normally say “lamest student I’ve taught” “boring mind” and “moronic”

I’m kidding of course. You are seriously over thinking this. If the phrases are backed by anecdotes and examples, then it’s to your advantage. Most rec letters have those words. The golden nuggets are the anecdotes.
