teacher recommendations arriving before application

Hi, I was just wondering if it's okay if the teacher recommendations arrive at a school before the application is sent in. I know that one of my teachers is planning on sending his recommendations in all together to my entire list of schools, not just the early ones. Is it bad if the regular decision schools haven't received my application/test scores yet?

Oh that’s a good question, I’m in the same scenario. I think it should be fine, though, because I know a lot of students who gave their teachers their recommendation forms on the first day of school (August) and submitted their applications around Nov-Dec-ish.

It’s fine. My S is in the same boat. His teachers are way out of ahead of him and submitted the LORs already. The schools will just see it as a signal to open an file for the applicant. And if the applicant doesn’t get the rest of the goods in by the due date, then the file gets closed. Generally speaking, the student driven goods must be in by the due date, while the GC and teacher LORs are given a bit of leeway, since the schools are aware of the volumes and snafus that happen at some schools.

great, thanks to both of you!
