So I'm not getting any "warm" feelings from my teachers this year (junior). I feel like most of them either are pretty neutral about me or sort of hate me (idk why. I try hard, i study a lot, i'm not loud or anything, I go to EHs). Bottom line: i get the feeling that they just don't like me. The only teacher I'm sure about asking is my english teacher. I just don't know who to ask for the other if they're only going to be mediocre. will it hurt my chances? I'm planning to go into pre-med. I feel as if my sophomore teachers liked me more... a lot more, but all colleges look for junior/senior. :-/

This is not true. You need to go to the college websites and see what their LOR policies are as far as year, subject area, etc. Within the restrictions of each college, send your strongest LORs.

Both of my kids sent 1 LOR from a soph teacher in an AP class. IMO, as long as the class is rigorous, a soph teacher can often write a better LOR than a sr teacher who has known the student a relatively short time.

@entomom well, the colleges i want to go to require junior/senior

The ‘want’ makes a big difference, so it would have been helpful to put it in your OP.

If all the colleges you’re applying to require jr & sr LORs, worrying about soph teachers is moot.

Anything that makes your application stronger helps your ‘chances’.

Being premed is not a factor since premeds can major in anything.
