I moved to a different high school to the Ghanaian equivalent of the 11th and 12th grade. My new high school uses Naviance for all application materials, and this has blocked me from sending requests through the common app to my [6th - 10th Grade] teacher in my former school whom I wanted to write my second teacher recommendation (even though Yale prefers 11th and 12th). I went to my former school to give him the paper version so the counselor there could upload those documents through the Yale Counselor Portal, and after 2 weeks, each material on my Yale Status Portal had been ticked as received. Unfortunately, I’ve been emailed to check on this particular recommendation as they only have my current school’s recommendations. What can I do? Are there alternatives to sending online apart from through Naviance or the Yale Counselor Portal? Or should my former counselor resend through the Counselor Portal and now add my reference number as I didn’t have it at the time it was sent? All answers and suggestions are welcome, please.
