Teacher Recs: is this teacher "academic"?

The common app asks that your teacher recs come from an academic teacher of yours (math , science, english, social studies, foreign language)
I had this teacher for inquiry skills, then I had her for research (a class focused on the development of the extended essay required for IB, she was my advisor for the essay and we got to know each other well over the year), and this year i have her for IB Theory of Knowledge (an IB requirement which teaches ways of knowing and other knowledge concept and is aimed at preparing an essay and presentation for the IB diploma programme) . Are these considered academic classes? would this make her an academic teacher(she also teaches US Government and History of the Americas but I didn't have her for these courses)?
this teacher loves me and she's really good so i was hoping i could get her as a reccommender.

thank you for your advice.

bump me up

Maybe call up a school and ask? What one school accepts probably isn't much different from what any other school would accept. Plus, I don't know if anyone on CC except admissions officers can give you accurate and reliable advice.

thanks. thats what common app said
