I just got a recommendation from one of my teachers for UM and I'm scared about what he wrote for me. I want to know what he wrote so bad, but I can't know obviously. He is one of my favorite teachers and I was one of his best students. When I saw the teacher recommendation requirement, I automatically thought he was the best teacher to write one up for me. I just want to know how admissions officers view the teacher recommendation.

How much weight is put on this compared to other factors such as family members that are alumni, GPA, ACT, rank?

Will it change my chances of being accepted or rejected?

I mean I'm pretty sure that he wrote me a good reccomendation. I mean when I asked him, he smiled and said of course. I was one of his best students and I always talk to him about how I wish I was in his class again. I guess I just want to know exactly what he wrote. Is there any way I can find out??

No. Confidentiality of recommendations is part of the admissions process. Thge only thing you might consider is asking him for a copy after the process is all over, but only if you know him really well and know this won't offend him.
