Teacher recs

I have a very straightforward question regarding teacher recommendations. I would like to get my rec from a professor at the local university (I took two classes with him there). Is that allowed for Cornell?

I'm worried because many schools state that the teacher must have taught me during 11th or 12th grade and further, on the application, the teacher is asked to state the high school name. So, I just wanted to clarify... Thanks in advance!

this probably wont help you much, but I have a friend who is applying to Cornell, and he is getting a rec. letter from a teacher who retired last year. so i'm guessing that the teacher who writes ur rec. doesn't necessarily have to be from your current high school.
and as far as i know, Cornell doesn't require the rec. letters to be from a 11th/12th grade teacher. i might be wrong tho- anyone wanna confirm?
