I'm in the process of applying to U of Penn (as my early decision choice) and several other schools as well. On the commonapp site, it asks for letters of recommendation. What I want to know is if my teachers writing the letters for me have to write an individual letter to each and every school I am applying to, or is it like my personal info I entered in, where it's just entered once and then becomes the same for every other school. Thanks!

It’s just like your personal info, as you have referred to. The recommendation letter will be “attached” to your application to all schools. In saying this, make sure your school counselor and teachers do not specify which school you want to get into, unless that is the only college that you are applying to! You do not want the admissions people at Yale to hear that you dream of getting into Harvard, if you know what I mean.
