My English teacher wrote me a recommendation but didn’t leave his telephone number or email because he didn’t want to. Will the admission officers contact the school when they review my application? What I fear is that they may doubt its authenticity and contact the school. The letter IS authentic, it’s just that my teachers don’t care about this and took two months to write me a rec because they forgot to do it. Does anyone know if they always verify letters authenticity?

Personally, I doubt that they have the time to verify a letter's authenticity. And if, by random chance, they decided that your letter might be faked, they could always call your guidence counselor... who could definitly put them in touch with the teacher that wrote it.

I concur...
