What teachers should you avoid because of difficulty, fairness, etc. and what courses do they teach? Any bit of info is appreciated

That's a very general question. There are some 5,000 instructors at UF, do you have any specific departments in mind?

Well I personally would prefer in the economics field, but since such a wide variety of classes are required, pretty common professors for intro and requirement classes would be useful.

Supposedly micro is easier than macro. Not sure if its subject matter or its the professor. I think the topics in macro are more interesting.

Well Denslow is the only teacher for Macro and he's great. I found Macro very easy, like >100% easy, but some say its really hard. I think its a case of not keeping up with the lectures. Rush is the only teacher for Micro and I've heard he's good and that that class is easier than Macro.

In a lot of the big gen ed required classes you really don't have a choice. I had Harrison for chem 2045, he was very boring. I've heard Keaffaber is a better choice there. But then if you're an economics major you don't even have to take that..

You should refine your question, it's waaaay too broad. Maybe if you tell us what courses you are considering taking it would be easier.

OK then how about this, what teachers should i look out for if i am going to major in economics and minor in philosophy, or is that still too broad?

You also might want to try:

While they may not have ALL professors, they may have the ones you looking for and are reviewed by students who took them.

Question on the better professors... CHM2045 BSC2010 MAC1147 who do you all recommend for these classes for a first year student. Thanks so much.

theres one teacher that is an ex-convict but just forget what happened in the past

I had Professor Larissa Williamson for MAC1147. She has a thick accent and rushes through lectures at times. She wasn't that bad but if you''ve NEVER taken Pre-Cal in your life, you might want to look at other professors. I know when I took it, [Fall 2006] it was her and some other guy, whose name I don't know. But, it might be best to avoid her. Gower, and Keaffaber are good for CHM2045. CHM2045 exams are assembly exams [everyone takes the same exact, on the same night, different forms though], so you just need a professor who knows how to teach because they all make the exam together.
