After taking the SAT and scoring pretty well, I decided that I'd like to teach a small course at my local high school with a few friends. At first, I wanted to teach on my own, by simply going through questions and answers from CB's blue book (which is what most companies do anyway). However, I heard that PR was bringing their class to our school, so I called them to see if a high school senior could teach a course through PR. They denied, saying that teachers must be at least college-level. So far I've tried calling Kaplan, but I think I'll get the same result. Has anyone done this before? Any advice? Any companies/programs I should look into? Thanks in advance.

Is this for community service or money?

I prepare for the SAT by beating my head against a brick wall, and then bleeding all over the proctor

10 char.

Maybe you could give private lessons, one-on-one or something. If you can score really high, I think people would pay for you, especially since you'd probably be cheaper than PR or whatever.

Yeah, don't go through the trouble of contacting Kaplan or PR. Chances are, since you are a student at that school, you will have more popularity (taken that you charge lower). Just make a small class of say about 5 to 10 students if you don't want to do one-one tutor.

Yeah, I doubt a company would hire you. My friend (who got a 2390 on his SAT) does private tutoring with kids for $20-30 an hour, which is pretty good. :)
