Teaching vs. newspaper- decide my junior year

Hey y'all.

So I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I'm currently on my school's newspaper as a medium-low position for next year (editor-at-large). It's a class and an extracurricular around here. I don't like it very much, to be honest. Sometimes I feel like I really like the people and the work, but other times, like now, I just hate every moment. The stress, my low position, the whole shabang. I have no idea why I signed up for it for next year. Potential for good leadership is low.

I really want to be a teacher. I've already taught clarinet lessons over the summer and I work in my school's writing center. My school has a three-semester series of classes that culminates in a teaching internship (!) in a local elementary/junior high.

My question is, which would look better to AdComs? Neither has an AP credit and neither is honors. I think the teaching thing would show direction and everything, but there's nothing like being able to send in a published example of your writing to a college.

I know somebody's going to say 'go with your heart, blah blah blah' but I can work through the paper situation if I really WANTED to, but that internship looks awesome.

go with your heart ;)

This should NEVER drive your schedule.

Take the teaching class. You know it’s what you want to do.
