I’m writing a magazine article about the ways people use social media to select and get into a college (particularly grad school, but I would like to hear from anyone who has done so for any level of higher education). Please PM me with your experiences or share them in the thread - have you had any disastrous experiences trying to friend an admissions officer, for example, or decided against attending a school after talking to current students on Facebook? Any experiences will be considered - it’s a brave new world out there, so any ways we can help people with their admissions journey would be very much appreciated!
