<p>Alright, I'm an international, and I went to America twice. I saw two univeristies and I only glanced at these... Can you tell me something about University life ? Whatever you want, from the things you think are most important to trifles you like...</p>

<p>I wrote a big long message this afternoon but the computer deleted it. Time to try for a condensed version. Very big question, that…</p>

<p>Academics:

  • Professors like to make you jump through hoops to turn things in, at least in intro classes. I use 7 different websites to turn in homework, and it adds a good several hours to the time it takes to do homework just turning stuff in. (I’m a math major – most of my homework is math formulas. Hard to type.)
  • It pays to be in some sort of honors program in college, most of the time. Seriously.
  • Most people are very lazy in college. It’s pretty easy to get the front seat, go to office hours for one-on-one tutoring, find internships that few people from your school are applying to, and so on. Granted, I’m at a state school, which may be why…</p>

<p>General Life:
People are pretty chill in college. I haven’t encountered any drama yet (been in college for a few months), and people don’t care like they do in high school. No one cares what you wear, what your backpack looks like, or whatever else people post on this forum. </p>

<p>Wow, there’s about a thousand things I could mention, but I’m going to cut it short. What are you looking for?</p>
