Dont worry, i did mine on a similar book.

Haha, thanks.

Well done, sir. I assume you meant this as satire of the absurd hyperanxiety of this thread.

i’m getting this on my application page… does it mean that i can’t apply anymore?

No Application Terms Currently Available
There are currently no additional terms for which you may apply to Telluride Association Sophomore Seminars Application. You may still fill out the form, but you will not be able to submit the form until a term becomes available.

Check to make sure you’re applying for TASP — not TASS.

ohh wow i’m dumb. don’t think i should apply anyway, with this little common sense.

Wait so nobody really answered my question…

Is it due Sunday night or Monday night??

I e-mailed them and they said “Monday night.”

I’m so jealous of the people who’ve submitted already. I’m just starting my outline for essay #1 and need to overhaul essay #2 still. Other than that I’m pretty much done though.

The extent of my work so far: an outline for essay #4.

Alright thanks dunbar.

And I’m relieved to see that I’m not the only huge procrastinator here…

As in that’s the only thing you have done? If so you have my sympathy.

Do we need to quote in our literary analysis?

Actually, what do they really mean by literary analysis, should there be a recognizable thesis/argument about the book, or just a general analysis of various themes within?

How many sources do you guys have for #1? Any?

Hey did you guys put page numbers for the lit analysis, because I don’t have my book right now and I currently cannot get it at the library.

I didn’t cite anything in my analysis. It’s an obscure text so I tried to put it in some context so that the reader could somewhat follow along. Plus, there’s really no way you can “cite” my text, b/c it’s one of those “other” kinds of texts.

I don’t really think you need to cite, if you have no way of doing so.

I think citing was on the website FAQ though. I’m in a pretty confused state right now though so…

could someone (past-TASPer?) please answer this:
what do they really mean by literary analysis, should there be a recognizable thesis/argument about the book, or just a general analysis of various themes within?

If i read the script of a movie would this be an acceptable essay? (it’s a really deep allegorical movie which I could write a ton about)

please calm down everyone.
love,
me
