Can somebody tell me more about it?

What would be more worthwhile?

Internship at the Smithsonian/classes at Georgetown or Telluride?

You'll have to get accepted at Telluride first. Less than 10% acceptance rate - worry about it after you've got the offer. :)

Do a Search on this forum for: TASP. You will get several threads that discuss the program. As the other poster said, it is a highly selective and prestigious summer program. I can't compare it to the Internship at the Smithsonian, but it will definitely hold more weight than paying for summer classes at GT or any other college.

Thanks, entomom - that's exactly the kind of response I was looking for. The kind that uh, answers my question.

And Kara - I REALIZE this but I need to choose what I put my time into applying to, I can't apply to everything and each of the things I listed take a considerable amount of time to fill out applications for :)

Both of the previous response give you good advice.

TASP is really selective and everyone who applies should have a contingency plan. The truth is if you want to to have a great experience next summer you will have to put the time into multiple apps, it sucks (I know), but think of it like college. Most people end up applying to more then one.

That being said Telluride is an amazing association and as an alumnus I can strongly recommend the programs and the experience over any other summer enrichment type thing.

Good Luck!
