Why the defensiveness? Lot's of kids post here because they really want to know what it will take to get where they want to go. They want to know if it's a good choice to take the merit money for a school or take on debt to attend a better school. Should we all be PC and pretend any school will leave their choices wide open?

My own kids fought to get into the schools that will get them to where they want to be but had the benefit of two MBA parents to understand what was needed. I post here so that those without a CEO parent like Dion or MBA parents like my own kids can also understand. I probably get 200 resumes on my desk every week from kids not prepared for my dream job.

Temple is significantly better than SJU and AU. Pitt has a good business school, but I never saw it to be a big deal. I dont think it's better than Temple's, regardless of what the silly rankings say.

Pitt, if you're in state, is the better choice IMO. American would also be a better choice. Of course you should weigh in Dion's Temple based opinion.............Rankings are not so silly to employers.

ok children lets argue on someone elses thread. No need for hostility. I like AU and SJU becuase they both have an international marketing program.

Jesus dionte, you are so biased it isn't even funny. I understand you love your school, but I mean come on... since you're a temple student, your opinion is obviously going to be favorable towards Temple. Then, when someone says something negative about it, you become all defensive... relax.

Any poster loses credibility when they blindly defend their college without offering substantive reasons for why it's as great as they claim. In Dionte's case there is post after post defending Temple without any supporting facts other than "rankings are silly."

So if Temple is a great school, he should tell us why because I for one, who spent 8 years in Philly, never came to see it as being a great school. Does it have a larger endowment than we know providing amazing resources? Are there a slew of Nobel and Pulitzer prize winning faculty? Do they offer programs truly hard to duplicate? Is their placement into elite jobs and grad schools more than meets the eye? Is the neighborhood it's in not as dangerous as most believe?

I went to Penn. When people ask me about it I start with the great stuff. A strong student body and profs. A world class business school with amazing job placement. Lots of internationals make class discussion more interesting than most. Great traditions on a wonderful campus....

But than I balance it by telling them it can be quite the party school, less aid than other ivies so less economic diversity, an iffy neighborhood.......

There is no perfect school, so we'll do readers here the most good by looking at schools objectively.

Dionte you're not worth addressing further. You're immature, not knowledgeable and seem to think you can dictate who posts. You're certainly not helping anyone here with information, so maybe it's you who should find another venue for your insecure rantings.

Elitist? Note that this forum's origins were as a resource for those seeking info on ivy league schools and many posters are here because they want info to help them gain access to the best education and jobs.

Now why don't you answer the questions about Temple, the OP is here for info on your school.
