Hey I’m a high school senior with a 3.8 GPA and a 26 ACT score… I’m planning to retake the ACT twice but if I don’t improve I just want to know what my chances are of gettig admitted. I have a great essay complete talking about my four year commitment to an internship and glowing extracurriculars. Help??
temple university has this thing called the “temple option” that gives you the ability to apply without test scores and write a few extra supplemental essays instead! thats what i did and it is how i got accepted
So are you saying the 26 wouldn’t be enough? Btw how many were they/what were they about? Also I read that temple is one of the colleges that deemphasize act/sat
Temple recommends that if you have over a 25 ACT you submit test scores and do not use Temple option. You should retake but definitely submit scores.

When you apply Temple Option, does that lower your chances of getting in? Do you find out a lot later if you have gotten in, even if you have applied early?
no, applying Temple option will not decrease your chance of being admitted. i believe last year, some Temple option applicants had to wait later than others as your application will be more time intensive on Temple admissions staff to evaluate. it is a good option for people who have standardized test scores that under reflect their capabilities.
