@rugby1562, the same thing happened to my son. It took about 6 hours for the blank screen to disappear and his acceptance to be posted. It was a long 6 hours but exciting in the end. Good luck!

Just found out today I am a Haslam Scholar Semi-Finalist by email! Has anyone else applied and heard back about their honors program(s)?
has anyone heard anything about an accepted students day???
Before Christmas break, I learned that I was wait-listed to the College of Nursing. Including my admissions counselor from UTK, many people are confused over this. I applied only two weeks after the application was released, but I did not hear back until mid-November. I have emailed a CON administrator who told me there would be a definite decision by the end of January, but I am afraid they may just say that each month. My stats are very good, and I know of accepted students from area high schools that have lower stats, test scores, and fewer ECs than me. Again, many people in my family, friends, and EVEN my admissions counselor are bewildered by this.

@allieb23 being waitlisted means your stats are good enough to be admitted but currently there might not be room available in the program. The school wants to wait until other applicants accept or decline their offers to be sure. Your stats are excellent. The only slight blemish is the 25 in Math portion of ACT. Check with admissions to see if there is time to re-take ACT to increase that portion (UTK super scores). Good luck!
Thank you!!! I am hoping for the best. This whole situation has been odd from the get-go. UTK never received my best ACT, so I had to contact ACT to get that issue resolved. Apparently, on my application, which I reviewed numerous times, there was no indication of an intent to nursing. When in fact, I wrote a 500 word essay on it! Again, it’s been a confusing process for everyone.
I was accepted in November about 2 days after my application was complete but I didn’t recieve anything about the Volunteer scholarship even though I am qualified? Is there more to it than academics?
For reference:
ACT: 34
GPA: 4.1
@empfei: I would call/e-mail the admissions office (and make sure that you communicate with someone who actually knows what they are talking about, not simply a part-time student on work-study), and convey your question. Based on the matrix, you should qualify for Volunteer; but perhaps there is an issue with the weighted core GPA, or simply a bureaucratic error. My son got a separate notification about his, as I recall.
I am super happy to announce that I have been taken off the nursing waitlist and am now a direct admit into the College of Nursing!
Congratulations, @allieb23!
@allieb23 glad they were able to get that sorted, Congrats! My D visit is scheduled for end of March.
@allieb23 Congratulations and Go Vols!
@allieb23 congratulatios!- my D was admitted to UTK for her 2nd choice major, but not her 1st nursing.
how did you know that you were waitlisted? do they indicate that on the letter?
