Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy.?

Can someone please describe or tell me about this Program for undergrads please?

<a href="http://www.pubpol.duke.edu/%5B/url%5D">http://www.pubpol.duke.edu/</a></p>

I found this bad boy on one of the most inconspicuous of places too.

well I read it. But I was wondering what opportunities it provides for undergrads. I guess what I am asking is if it is a major?? Like is it a course or an extra-curricular activity?

Public Policy is a major, dude. One of the most populous ones at the university.

PPS is an entire disciplinary department/school. There's a major in PPS (no minor) that's very interdisciplinary, as well as a few certificates and leadership programs that are based in Sanford.

if I do pre-med, can i still take courses in PPS?

absolutely. i mean, being a PPS major is pretty tough w/ premed (i know someone doing it, and it's pretty rough for her), but just because you're premed doesnt mean you're barred from taking cool courses in other departments. definitely take some PPS classes-- they're a great way to fill various distributional requirements needed for graduation.

yeah, those courses seem to really interest me in the focus of the community service/ leadership based teachings. It is definietely something I would be interested in writing about in my Duke essay.

thanks.
