Terry Scholarship 2016

Did anyone hear back from the Terry Foundation about interviews for UT Austin? The website said that invites go out mid-March and if you don’t hear back from them by mid-April then you assume you didn’t get the interview. I would contact the Terry Foundation personally, however, they specifically mentioned not to contact them in the email where it said I advanced. I’ve been reading some old threads and one from this year and saw that people heard back early March or late February. But one of the conditions mentioned in the email said that I must submit my FAFSA by March 15. I recently submitted my FAFSA and it was processed by March 14. So I’m not sure how people got interviews before everyone had submitted their FAFSA.

There’s a lot of info on CC about the Terry Scholarship, but it’s scattered over several different forums. I’d suggest using the “advanced search” feature on CC and do a search for “Terry Scholarship.”

Go here:

Don’t put anything in the “search” box, and enter “Terry Scholarship” under “Title.” Leave everything else blank. That should bring up lots of threads from both this year and years past.

@dodgersmom I’ve looked at current and old threads, but I haven’t seen anything on this particular problem or anyone who got an interview for UT…
On the Terry Foundation Twitter page it said all the nominees have been contacted but that was tweeted early March. I don’t know if this scholarship was a first come first serve thing or deadline based because my dad was only able to file his tax return early March which enabled me to fill out the FAFSA information by March 14.

I haven’t heard anything so I don’t know if I was rejected or not. It said to wait until mid April and if you haven’t heard anything until then you can just assume you didn’t make it.
But I guess my main question is if the scholarship is first come first serve or deadline based.
