Test #4 of The Real ACT Prep Guide -- too easy...?

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I recently took the ACT in December. I received a 30 composite score:
31 English
31 Math
32 Reading
27 Science</p>

<p>I took one practice test before the official test, and scored a 33, so I was expecting higher than a 30 for the official test. I attribute the 30 to a distracting work environment during the test.</p>

<p>I have met with an ACT tutor for two 45 minute sessions since the test. I just took the fourth practice test from The Real ACT Prep Guide, and did very well.</p>

<p>I scored a 34 composite score:
35 English (1 question wrong)
33 Math (5 questions wrong)
36 Reading (0 questions wrong)
30 Science (6 questions wrong)</p>

<p>Has anyone noticed this fourth practice test being very easy? I am not sure if I have actually improved from practice or if it is just an easier test.</p>

<p>Also, does anyone have any tips for raising my math score? Math comes very easy to me, but I seem to either make a couple careless mistakes or run out of time when I take the ACT.</p>

<p>Also, I seem to have problems with science. I'm not sure why.</p>

<p>I remember it being the right level of difficulty of the actual ACT, which I took only two days after taking practice test #4. I got a 34 on practice test #4 and a 33 on the actual ACT – so I’d say if you feel comfortable with #4, it’s a good indicator of your potential performance on the actual test.</p>

<p>On this test, I got a 36 on math but with one wrong (the chart said 59-60 for a 36). Today, I took a math section out of the 1296 book and got a 30. Should I be worried? If test 4 was from a real test, anyone know which one?</p>

<p>Well, I have taken all of the English tests in the book (and no other subjects) and, I scored about the same as I did on the others… So, no i did not get a much higher score… Some ACT tests are easier than others (they just adjust the curve).</p>

<p>Math was the only one I significantly went up on. In fact, I went from a 32 to a 30 on english.</p>
