Test/Quiz Retake Policy

Hey there CC’ers!

I’m actually interested in knowing, what is your school’s test retake policy? For my school it’s pretty much random as hell, and the teacher gives you the test / or quiz you missed whenever is the most convenient for them. So what are your school’s?

I was just wondering, my test was today, and I was absent due to a pretty wonderful fever yesterday, and I left in the middle of the school day today because I had a fever today also. Will my teacher be allowed to give me the test tomorrow? I am in no condition to study, and I am ready to pass out any minute now. Right when I got home, I passed out for 5 hours and just woke up now haha. What do you guys think?

If it’s an excused absence, they should give you an extra day. However, at my school if on the day you missed no new material was learned, then you take it the day you get back without notice or an extra day.

In my school, it’s up to each teacher.

My own policy is very liberal-- make it up by the end of the marking period, though I suggest ASAP. Kids who let it go too far frequently forget the material.

It’s the weekend now. I would suggest you be prepared to take makeups on Monday.
