Test Scores and Applications

I'm still a little confused when it comes to applying to colleges and sending test scores...

When is the ideal time to send SAT/ACT scores to colleges? If I'm going to take SAT Subject Tests and possibly the SAT Reasoning again (depending on how well I do this Saturday) this fall as a senior, will I still be able to send those scores to colleges? Can you send scores after you've applied? If so, is it just done through collegeboard/ACT?

And if you can, what would be the latest I could take a test and still have a chance to send it?

Up-coming SAT Reasoning/Subject Test Dates:
October 4, 2008
November 1, 2008
December 6, 2008
January 24, 2009

Up-coming ACT Test Dates:
September 13, 2008
October 25, 2008
December 13, 2008

Thanks.

bump, i'm also interested i knowing.

right now i have subject tests this month, and sat's again in october.

what if i want to possibly take the subject tests again in november? can i?

what about for early decision?

For EA/ED applications, October will definitely be ready. Some schools will also accept November, but double check to be sure (policies vary)

For RD applications, December is fine, and some accept January retakes.

Ideal time to send scores...when you're done? You can send scores at any time, although your chance to use the 4 free reports will only be available for a limited time. Sending official scores is done through the CB.
