the answer to the r and the s was ... -1 i think.

BROACH = BRING UP?
uhh, i didn't know wth enmity meant hahaha but for prof mo was it like, "prof mo was mocking duncan by saying "kind" all the time"?

bronte ...
DIARY PAPERS most important?
charlotte was trying to "take the reins" by controlling how the public saw her or whatever?

OH, there was one about passionate/pretentious.
this is about talking to aliens or whatever.
I put pretentious ... but my friend got passionate.
anyone?

i put pretentious too but a lot of people put passionate

Passionate doesn't make sense to me. Like I said, both passages were passionate. Those who put passionate, how sure are all of you? What are your justifications?

yay, i got pretentious too -- but I heard somewhere that negative connotation answers are usually not the right answer =(

but really, that guy was such an a***! He was like, "what kind of idiots don't look back on history -- why would anyone go out and basically ASK for our destruciton? IDIOTS"

.. okay maybe i exaggerate.

for advertisements!!

one of the last one was liek, "advertisements face the saem kind of problems as other historical documents .. but just to a lesser degree"

it's passionate because the dude was like WE"RE ALL DOOMEEEDDDD!!! at the end of the second one
how much more passionate can you get?
i was gonna put pretentious but the ending just pushed me to fill in passionate

i almost put the one where one of them is milder, but I changed it to them both not giving enough insight or something. dont remember exact words.

The first passage was equally as passionate.

Plus, the author of the second passage was a total dbag. Pretentious, I think, is correct.

put passionate as well. the first passage was more of an impartial, scholarly look at extraterrestrial life. the second was more personal and opinionated. he never really implies arrogance...he's just really into what he's talking about.

I put passionate, and something about about milder for the advertisement one because there was a part in the passage that said "to a lesser degree" or something like that.
